Through the Advanced Technology Solutions Group (ATSG), the S&I Division has been able to establish Intercol as one of the largest telecommunications, IT products and services companies in the Kingdom, with world leaders in the telecommunications industry, such as Harris, Huawei and HP converged under one roof. With dedicated and focused teams in sales and support, the Advanced Technology Solutions Group ensures that all delivered products and services meet customer satisfaction.

Information Systems Unit

The Information Systems Unit drives the sales and business development activities in every location across the region where Intercol has a presence. Partnerships have been formed with a number of market leaders to provide end-users with advanced technology solutions that address critical business requirements. These include, but are not confined to, network management and billing mediation solutions for telecommunications from Harris Stratex Corporation, network performance management from ADC Software Systems, fraud management systems from HP, ERP solutions from Epicor (Intercol represents Epicor in Bahrain, the UAE and Qatar) and E+P Warehouse Logistics Solutions.

Telecommunications and Broadcasting Systems Unit 

The Telecom and Broadcasting Systems Unit provides next generation services to both the telecom and broadcasting industries.

This unit has successfully implemented large scale projects for Bahrain TV to meet their broadcasting needs, as well as executing other projects for leading telecommunications companies to support their telecom infrastructure needs whether in hardware, software or engineering services. Under this unit, strategic relationships have been established with Huawei, Thomson, Tektronix as well as Harris Stratex.

IT Care Centre

In 2007, the ATSG introduced a new unit that consolidated all of Intercol’s in-house IT requirements for software and hardware under one roof. The IT Care Centre serves all divisions of Intercol and ensures all IT infrastructure in all divisions are optimized and are operating efficiently. The IT Care Centre has a dedicated help desk to cater for all inquiries within the group and to ensure that each division is provided with the highest and most efficient operating standards.

Service Delivery and Quality Assurance Unit

Given the expanding role of Intercol’s S&I operations, it was only logical that a dedicated team be established for handling the service delivery of all IT-executed projects. This unit supports the information systems units on all IT projects and professional services. Its cadre includes PMPcertified professionals that have a passion for delivering high quality projects that meet and exceed customer expectations.

The Service Delivery and Quality Assurance Unit pays attention to detail by following the ISO 9001: 2000 quality assurance standards for managing projects through the PDCA cycle with high quality documentation.

To this end, a number of services are provided including, but not restricted to; product and service integrated solutions covering hardware, software and networking vendors on a turnkey basis; consultancy for IT-related projects involving systems study, design and implementation and the services of professionals on a project specific basis that include systems development, project management and software and systems support.
